Degnan's Kitchen is the practical everyday food stop on the floor of Yosemite Valley, occupying the ground floor of the Degnan's building in Yosemite Village alongside The Loft at Degnan's upstairs. The operator describes it as serving authentic delicatessen sandwiches, signature salads and breakfast favourites, with coffee, espresso and baked goods alongside; the National Park Service lists sandwiches, salads, pizza, coffee and breakfast items available a la carte. It is counter service rather than table service, and it is one of the few places in the valley open for food year-round rather than seasonally, which is what makes it useful: it covers breakfast before an early start and lunch or a packed picnic in the middle of a walking day. The building itself is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as Degnan's Restaurant, and its long, low National Park Service Rustic form sits directly beneath the valley's north wall.
