Thulhagiri Island Resort and Spa Maldives

Thulhagiri Island Resort and Spa Maldives occupies its own small island in North Malé Atoll, about 13 km from Velana International Airport and around 20 minutes away by the resort's speedboat. Covered in tall palms and ringed by white sand and a turquoise lagoon, the island keeps a barefoot, traditional Maldivian character, with bamboo furnishings and a house reef that circles the shore for snorkelling and diving. The resort has 87 bungalows. Fifty Standard Deluxe Beach Bungalows (53 m²) open directly onto the beach, each with a king bed, a private wooden deck, an open-air shower, a bathtub with separate shower and twin basins. Over the lagoon, 17 Water Bungalows (56 m²) and 20 Superior Water Bungalows (78 m², for up to three guests) have wooden decks with direct access to the lagoon and house reef; the Superior Water Bungalows add an outdoor shower and wide ocean views. Meals centre on the barefoot Main Restaurant, which serves buffets for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Stays are on a half-board basis as standard, with full-board and all-inclusive plans available. The Sand Bar is the resort's main bar, with a coffee-shop menu, draught beer, wines and cocktails, while the Beach Bar faces the sunset. Duny Thai Spa, an infinity pool, a 24-hour gym, diving with the on-site Sub Aqua dive school and water sports with Magic Surf & Sail complete the island, alongside weekly entertainment and scheduled excursions.
